Microsoft Power Automate (previously known as Microsoft Flow) is a cloud-based platform for automating workflows and business processes. It is part of the Microsoft Power Platform and allows users to create automated processes that can be triggered by events, schedules, or other conditions. Power Automate provides a range of pre-built connectors to popular services and applications, such as Microsoft Dataverse, Office 365, and Salesforce, as well as tools for creating custom connectors and integrations. It also includes a simple, visual interface for building and managing automated processes, which can be designed to run in the cloud or on-premises. Power Automate is designed to help organizations automate repetitive tasks and processes, improve productivity, and streamline business operations. It can be used to create a wide range of automated workflows, including processes for data collection, notifications, approvals, and more.

General purpose Power Automate capabilities are available on a standalone basis. Limited Power Automate capabilities are also included within Power Apps, Dynamics 365, and Microsoft365/Office 365 and Windows licenses. Customers that need full-fledged, general-purpose workflow, business process automation, RPA or DPA capabilities, should consider purchasing standalone Power Automate plans. Licensing is supported on both a "per user" basis as well as a "per flow" basis. All standalone plans include the full capabilities of Power Automate with the exception of RPA functionality which is only included in Power Automate per user with attended RPA plan, the Power Automate unattended RPA add-on and the Power Automate Unattended desktop flow run plan. License by user - US$15 per User per Month - US$40 per User per Month with attended RPA License by flow - US$100 per Flow per Month; minimal 5 flows.
